Research & Current Work
My research focuses on understanding the national economic and cybersecurity risks of AI and Machine Learning systems and tools, including generative AI (e.g. foundation, transformer) models.
I study this research topic by modifying existing methods for auditing -- as well as developing novel methods for evaluating -- AI and machine learning systems.
I build transformer models, systems and tools to evaluate the security risks of AI.
Previously, I worked on the AI red teams of major foundation model builders, and designed online and in-person `AI risk' bounty competitions.
